With the help of this report the principles of marketing and business opportunities along with the target market, the impact of the products on both the organization and its publics have been detailed and analyzed. Organizational background Designs Mart is an architectural organization that is based in Australia, Melbourne. The organization is one of the known architectural firms that are known for its well-furnished designs in both interior and exterior infrastructures as well as real estate planning. Australia is one of the out growing markets for newer technologies and innovations and Design Mart plays just the crucial role in tendering these outgrowing needs and demands of the advanced generation. Designs Mart is mostly involved into architectural designs, interior designing, urban planning, master planning and strategically planned designs. Designs Mart is currently working on the incorporation of smart technologies into some of the pre existing designs and innovations that has been produced. Few noteworthy innovations includes a sustainable aqua garden, self sustaining high rise generator, incorporation of smart technologies into homes such as external as autonomous waste management systems, smart water channeling and processing systems. Apart from this Designs Mart has designed innumerous infrastructures such as hotels, houses, theatres, opera houses, shopping complex and adjoining residencies, community houses and clubs. Designs Mart is an architectural company that is known worldwide and famous for its innovations. Since the organization is based in Australia the primary customer base and market is also supposedly the current operating country. Yet, Designs Mart helps its clients worldwide in achieving a better infrastructure for both residential and commercial purpose. Product strategy for newer and current market opportunities Designs Mart previously introduced to most popular designs in terms of architectural and strategically planned designs. The design is of House-Residence or House Boats. The houseboats are mostly popular in Holland that incorporates the idea of a mobile residence on water. Houseboats are an innovative idea for a specific category of customers who wish to own a luxurious residence on the verge of nature as well as the special privilege of portability. The houseboat is functional in terms of moving the residence from one place of convenience to the other. This product is likely to be introduced in a market which is facilitated by the availability of the resources to own such a mobile home. In this case, a place, which is surrounded by water, bodies with abundance of population in such areas, is a potential market that can facilitate the sales of such product. The second product in line of Design Mart is photovoltaic cells functionalities that has been installed and incorporated in tiles rather than the using of traditional tiles. The motive behind such an innovation is the use of sustainable resources in terms of using conventional for of resources. The photovoltaic cells are instrumental in channeling the solar energy that has been captured thought the daytime and it can be utilized to power the entire house without the external supply of electricity. The potential market for such a product can be considered as the areas, which experience frequent power cuts or other electricity concerns. Such an area could be the main influencer of generating higher sales through the introduction of the photovoltaic tiles. One of the two innovations for the current market from Designs Mart is automated controlling of in-house temperatures through cell phones. This feature includes the installation of special in house heat and cold sensors that would be fitted inside the walls of the house during its construction that can be operated through cell phones. This would be beneficial for homes that do not have the additional facility of air condition installation as well as homes lacking proper ventilation (Madsen and Walker 2015). The second innovation involves the utilization of sensor operating home shutters that can be additionally operated through mobile phone application. This would be a breakthrough in terms of technology since homes are mostly secured manually under lock and key but this special feature would enable better security with just a push of a button. Additional hassle of home security would be simplified with this innovation, hitting the market. The shutter to be sensor fitted for obstruction detection and is completely tampers resist. This would create a huge stir in the market due to the better technical advancement in terms of housekeeping. Contribution of the products on the organization business Both the products that were in the current possession of the company are likely to be beneficial if the target audience has been appropriately sorted. The houseboat is more likely to be beneficial for customers looking for a well organized and a portable residence apart from a residence on a consolidated ground that in immovable. Newer market opportunities as well as customers from places that are most abundant in water bodies are more likely to respond better than places with less utility of such resources. The product contributes to the organization with a better scope of economic and social recognition in terms of business opportunities. Better innovations are likely to be more influential to the consumers than ordinary products. The photovoltaic cells are likely to be more effective and useful for all segments of consumers since the product uses the principle of using a sustainable source of energy as well as the generation of electricity without the support of external supply. The user-friendly nature of the innovation is a go on the consolidation of the business revenue. Moreover, the people living in the areas who are experiencing electrical faults are likely to be more influenced by the innovation and respond highly to the products than the people living in the area with better stability. The innovation has been complete based on technological advancement that would be a huge impact on the organization in terms of business. The contribution of these new additions would be beneficial in terms of revenue generation since these technologies would be completely user-friendly and lesser prone to humane errors in terms of functionality. Customers more inclined towards a smarter life style would be affected more, in the current market. Better inventions would henceforth proportionally reflect on better business prospects of the company. Impact on the company goals and business The innovations are likely to have a better impact on the companys business as well as the goals. The objective of introducing strategic and innovative designs as well as the incorporation of smart and conventional technology is likely to have a better influence on new market segment and have better response in terms of goal achievement and business of the company (Goetsch and Davis 2014). The respective innovations both current and new are formulated as per the chosen goals of the company to provide its valued consumers technological and sustainable products. The dependency on the technical advancement is one of the achievements to reach the company allotted parameters. The innovations on the other hand would move the business forward with the intensity of its influence on the consumers as well as its impact on the consumer behavior and purchasing pattern. Influence on the consumers both the current and newer market would result in a booming business for the company. Impact of external influence of the financial viability and returns External influences such as Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental are likely to have a better impact on the product. All the factors are included in the strategic management planning of a business where the newer market would support and add leverage on the current innovations since all the parameters of the achieving an affirmation to launch the product in a new market are up to mark (Hill, Jones and Schilling 2014). Both the innovations are technologically as well as eco-friendly that would also capture the political, social and economic support. In order to ensure the investment and returns related to the innovation proper pricing strategy needs to be formulated that should ensure the affordability of the products to all range of customers (Eden and Ackermann 2013). A higher range or pricing could repulse the customers from the idea of possessing such property. Also, introduction of the product in the wrong market segment can affect the product. The market risks of the product involve the right selection of the consumer categories since the right buyers would facilitate a better response towards the product or the innovations. An individual in the right area with the available requirements would tend to respond better than a customer living in an area, which is deficient of the requirements, even if the person has the will and the interest to purchase such a product. The high cost of affordability is also a risk revolving around the product. The quality of operations related to the marketing strategy and the customer support would ensure a better return in the business (Set-Pamies 2012). Organizational management related to the sales, marketing and customer service would ensure better customer generation and retention that would be beneficial for the business to flourish in newer market (Kinicki and Kreitner 2012). External factors such as Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental factors would not be much impacted upon by the influence on current market since the company holds a reputation of providing products and services that meets all the valid parameters without negatively affecting anything. The products are likely to be benefitted from all the factors as mentioned due to the companys pre-existing reputation and inventories (Axster 2015). As per the theories of marketing, the pricing strategy should be manipulated in such an influential manner so that the company meets the allotted profit margins and the invested revenue is attained back without any obstruction in the cash flow that was initially devoted while formulating the invention (Slack 2015). As previously cited every organization is likely to succeed in its goals with proper organizational management with well-devised strategies and marketing techniques. Well management of the company as well as eminence of operations related to the would ensure a improved return in the business (Fleisher and Bensoussan 2015). Management associated to the principles and perspectives of marketing and customer service would ensure better customer generation and retention that would be instrumental for the business to consolidate its presence in the current market. Changes to retain the current operations, the quality of customer service and resources to incorporate the changes In order to attain a better output the company needs to improvise on the older strategies related to the current operations as well as enhance the quality of the customer service would ensure a better customer satisfaction and customer retention with better support both before and after sales (Jahanshani et al. 2014). Selection of capable employees needs to done to be able to work under pressure and use the various means of the strategic tools to achieve the desired objectives as well as increase the efficiency of the productivity of the organization. Older management strategies need to be re-enforced with more strategic and agile ideologies in order to maximize the output and achieve better competitive advantage in the Global market (Wagner III and Hollenbeck 2014). Conclusion With the help of this report, it can be concluded that the marketing principles and the perspective are the important tools that are influential in terms of any product that is introduced in the market. Depending on the nature of the market the respective strategies and the plans can be devised out in order for an organization to achieve its allotted objectives. The proper selection of the target consumers as well as the well analysis of the market situation should be executed to prevent the wastage of the inventories of the organization and ensure the complete sales of the products that is introduced in both the current and new markets. Karl Marx Essays (1958 words) - Philosophy, Politics, Karl Marx
Karl Marx annon Karl Marx was the greatest thinker and philosopher of his time. His views on life and the social structure of his time revolutionized the way in which people think. He created an opportunity for the lower class to rise above the aristocrats and failed due to the creation of the middle class. Despite this failure, he was still a great political leader and set the basis of Communism in Russia. His life contributed to the way people think today, and because of him people are more open to suggestion and are quicker to create ideas on political issues. Karl Heinrich Marx was born May 5th, 1818 in Trier. Although he had three other siblings, all sisters, he was the favorite child to his father, Heinrich. His mother, a Dutch Jewess named Henrietta Pressburg, had no interest in Karl's intellectual side during his life. His father was a Jewish lawyer, and before his death in 1838, converted his family to Christianity to preserve his job with the Prussian state. When Heinrich's mother died, he no longer felt he had an obligation to his religion, thus helping him in the decision in turning to Christianity. Karl's childhood was a happy and care-free one. His parents had a good relationship and it help set Karl in the right direction. His splendid natural gifts' awakened in his father the hope that they would one day be used in the service of humanity, whilst his mother declared him to be a child of fortune in whose hands everything would go well. (The story of his life, Mehring, page 2) In High school Karl stood out among the crowd. When asked to write a report on How to choose a profession he took a different approach. He took the angle in which most interested him, by saying that there was no way to choose a profession, but because of circumstances one is placed in an occupation. A person with a aristocratic background is more likely to have a higher role in society as apposed to someone from a much poorer background. While at Bonn at the age of eighteen he got engaged to Jenny von Westphalen, daughter of the upperclassmen Ludwig von Westphalen. She was the childhood friend of Marx's oldest sister, Sophie. The engagement was a secret one, meaning they got engaged without asking permission of Jenny's parents. Heinrich Marx was uneasy about this but before long the consent was given. Karl's school life other than his marks is unknown. He never spoke of his friends as a youth, and no one has ever came to speak of him through his life. He left high school in August of 1835 to go on to the University of Bonn in the fall of the same year to study law. His father wanted him to be a lawyer much like himself but when Karl's reckless university life was getting in the way after a year Heinrich transferred him to Berlin. Also, he did not go to most lectures, and showed little interest in what was to be learned. Karl's reckless ways were not tolerated at Berlin, a more conservative college without the mischievous ways of the other universities. While at Berlin, Marx became part of the group known as the Yong Hegelians. The group was organized in part due to the philosophy teacher Hegel that taught from 1818 to his death. The teachings of Hegel shaped the way the school thought towards most things. Those who studied Hegel and his ideals were known as the Young Hegelians. Hegel spoke of the development and evolution of the mind and of ideas. Although Karl was younger than most in the group, he was recognized for his intellectual ability and became the focus of the group. While at Berlin He came to believe that all the various sciences and philosophies were part of one overarching, which, when completed, which would give a true and total picture of the universe and man. (Communist Manifesto, Marx (Francis B. Randal), page 15) Marx was an atheist, and believed that science and philosophy would prove everything. Thus he had no belief in a god of any type. Marx believed that Hegel must have been an atheist as well because of his strong belief in the mind. Marx's doctoral thesis was competed in 1841. It carried the title The Difference Between the Philosophies of Nature of Democrtius and Epicurus.(The Making of Marx's Critical Theory, Oakley, page 11) It had to do with the Greek philosopher Epicurus and how his beliefs related to Marxs' of that day. This thesis was

Analytical Comparison Essay Sample
Analytical Comparison Essay SampleUsing an analytical comparison essay sample is an essential tool when writing a job application. The essay is one of the first things that employers see and the objective of the application is to show that you have thought about the skills and experience that the employer is looking for.One of the most common ways to prepare your essay is to work on a sample essay using an analytical comparison essay sample. There are many different samples available online and also in many books and magazines. Once you have chosen a sample that appeals to you then the other important step is to examine the structure and content of the sample. Evaluating these aspects is essential before you write your own essay.Remember that your essay will have to cover all possible points that the employer can ask for, so it is important to make sure that your sample makes sense and has just the right information for each possible point. You will be able to tell which points are a ppropriate to include in your sample based on the format used and how long the sample is. Be aware that the first sentence of the sample may have to be modified to fit into the structure of your own essay and also ensure that it is in context with the other material. When you begin to use an analytical comparison essay sample, you will want to know what types of elements you will be using. There are four possible types of elements that you could include. The first is 'read', which describes the essay as something that you have read from a book or journal or which you have seen someone else write. This can be used in two ways. First, it allows you to quickly identify ideas or information that you do not understand and can help you get started writing the rest of the essay. Second, you can use this element to address points that you do not feel confident enough to mention in your own essay. The next element is a 'synthesis' which combines elements of two or more of the elements in an ana lysis example. For example, if you have read a long essay, you can combine the content in the first paragraph and the second paragraph together in a common analytic essay structure. You can even combine two or more of the elements in the same analysis example. The last element is a 'chorus' which provides continuity and strength to the analysis example. You can read the first paragraph again and combine it with the second paragraph in the analysis example and include the same information and phrases. You can then join the two paragraphs together in a paragraph summary and then use the same information in the analysis example.

Crown Prosecution Service Advice Essays
Crown Prosecution Service Advice Essays Crown Prosecution Service Advice Essay Crown Prosecution Service Advice Essay Crown Prosecution Service Advice Rhenium: Tom, Dick and Enid Introduction The undermentioned sentiments are premised upon the fact that from a procedural position, a figure of applications will probably be made by the prosecution to progress its chances at test. The first of these applications would affect the consideration as to whether it is preferred to continue against each of these suspects individually, or in a combination other than a three individual joint endeavor styled proceeding where all are charged as parties to the slaying of Charlotte. The main footing for separate proceedings is to avoid issues of admissibility of points of grounds that are potentially relevant to one suspect but potentially damaging to another. The suspects may besides raise the chance of a rupture. ( Smith, 1999, 859 ) topic to the flowering of the proceedings at the pre-trial phase, it may go desirable to break up the suspects where one may be in a place to attest against another. The sentiments as to the mode in which the grounds obtained in this affair may use refering each prospective suspect is hence considered in the absence of the impact of any procedural issues sing the indictment and the nature of the proceedings. Particularly, the tactical advantages of any rupture of each suspect or any peculiar count, is non considered below except where specifically noted. It is assume as a affair of fact-finding pattern that the constabulary would instantly hold sought a statement from Diane, so as to avoid the rumor jobs noted below. A concluding preliminary observation ââ¬â this analysis is structured so as to thoroughly use the general regulations of condemnable grounds, as opposed to mentioning fact specific an potentially mis taking instance jurisprudence. The instances cited are provided in promotion of this purpose. General Observations that apply to all suspects The grounds of Fay, age 10, is potentially relevant to all suspects with regard to Charlotteââ¬â¢s slaying. For this ground the place of Faye as a competent informant is considered independent of the analyses of the place of the suspects as set out below. Fay, like any informant is competent to give grounds topic to the procedural regulations specified at s. 53 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act ( YJCEA ) . The competence of Fay will be foremost assessed by the test justice pursuant to the commissariats of s. 53 ( 3 ) , with the main consideration being that Fay be in a place to understand the nature of the proceedings and the nature of the inquiries asked. Base upon the limited grounds available at this minute, it does look probably that Fay will be able to pass on the awaited grounds in a manner that falls within the bounds of s.53. As an aside, given the nature of the charges, it is highly likely that consideration must be given to an application to seek the test courtââ¬â¢s permission to use one of the enumerated special measuresââ¬â¢ for this vernal informant as available through the application of the Criminal Procedure Rules ( 2005, R. 29.1 ) The 2nd facet to the appraisal of the grounds likely to be tendered through Fay is the fact that such grounds will be unworn grounds by virtuousness of the application of s. 55 ( 2 ) ( a ) of the YJCEA, given that Fay is less than 14 old ages old. The admissibility of Fayââ¬â¢s grounds will hence be determined by application of s.56 of the YJCEA, the commissariats sing the admissibility of unworn testimony. The weight to be given Fayââ¬â¢s grounds ( presuming that, as noted above, Fay is competent to attest in this manner ) will be a affair for the test justice to direct the jury in their direction ( Simmonds, 1996, 3 ) ; the weight to be given Fayââ¬â¢s grounds is needfully tied to the rumor concerns and the built-in dependability issues originating at that place, every bit good as the other fortunes noted below that a trier of fact can decently use to measure the weight to be given Fayââ¬â¢s grounds. These points are noted below. The primary analysis is directed to the facts as they pertain to Tom ; where appropriate, the possible liability of the other possible suspects Enid and Dick is considered at that point. Separate consideration of any issue particular to these suspects is besides delineated below. The Case against Tom Tomââ¬â¢s place may be assessed from a figure of positions. His instance may be developed on a figure of bases, peculiarly: ( 1 ) The appraisal of the obvious similar fact grounds and whether Tom could be convicted on such evince entirely ( 2 ) Assuming the admissibility of the similar act grounds, could Tom be convicted on the combined grounds of similar fact and the grounds of Fay sing his visit to her place with Enid and her observations sing the payment of ? 5,000 hard currency ( 3 ) Could Tom be convicted on the grounds of Fay, in concurrence with the grounds adduced in points ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) ; ( 4 ) The relationship between the prospective grounds of Fay and the grounds to be adduced at ( 1 ) , ( 2 ) and ( 3 ) 1. The similar fact grounds Given the general regulations sing the admissibility of such grounds, founded as it is upon the general regulation of probatory value versus the damaging consequence created by its admittance into grounds, it is of import to exactly place the facts available to the prosecution that may decently represent similar fact grounds. As is good known by virtuousness of the taking governments, peculiarly determinations such asPhosphorus( 1998, Crim LR 663 ) andHydrogen( 1995, 2 Cr App R 437 ) , the prosecution is non obligated to set up a dramatic similarity, mirror image type fact or any other suggestion that the facts, one to another, are indistinguishable. A high grade of similarity is clearly a trademark or dependability with regard to how a jury might be instructed as to the usage to which such grounds might be put in Tomââ¬â¢s test. Further, there is a clear chance to bolster the impact of this grounds through the other grounds considered at ( 2 ) , ( 3 ) and ( 4 ) below. With these rules in head, the followers is the form of similar act grounds to be considered: His clear form of imbibing, chancing and lifestyle that is a common yarn to all of the happenings taking to Charlotteââ¬â¢s slaying. His relationship with Dick that likewise is a common component to the full factual circumstance The slaying of two partners prior to Charlotte All three partners died by manner of a distinguishable slaying mechanism, a possible distinction and a factor that Tom might reason to extinguish the consideration of the earlier happenings as true similar facts ( knifing, hiting and Charlotteââ¬â¢s submerging ) . The prosecution will reason, and it is submitted, set up successfully, that the meeting of the factors of partner, domestic scene, Tomââ¬â¢s absence signifier the place at clip of decease, the comparative short continuance of the matrimony, and the farther facts in ( V ) rhenium motivation will probably over sit such statements. Motive ââ¬â Tom made a important fiscal addition as a consequence of the decease of each of his partners. Coupled with the lifestyle / chancing grounds available, this grounds is a portion of a compelling form of behavior Fortunes of his establishing of an alibi on three occasions, as established through the constabulary officers ; the possibility of Tom innocently happening himself in fortunes where an impregnable informant, a constabulary officer, is the party doing the topic telephone call on three occasions is one that defies common sense and forms a portion of the flowering of the narrative leading to Charlotteââ¬â¢s decease. Tom may be convicted as a party to Charlotteââ¬â¢s slaying on this grounds entirely if admitted in its entireness, taking as it does to the allowable illation that he must hold been an histrionat some degreein this slaying. ( Stewart and Schofield, 1995 ; Chan Wing-Siu, 1985 ; Roberts, 1993 rhenium: general rules ) 2. Dickââ¬â¢s payment to Enid This grounds assumes that Diane will supply this information through testimony and that it would non be tendered by manner of the triple hearsayââ¬â¢ implicit in the testimony of Fay ( in add-on to Fayââ¬â¢s unsworn informant position noted above ) . The payment of this big sum of money is admissible on its ain, but does non get peculiar cogency unless grounds of Enidââ¬â¢s position is admitted through the rumor noted from Fay, or unless Diane testifies. Dianeââ¬â¢s grounds refering Dick is non capable to any exclusion under the grounds jurisprudence ; it is admissible against both Tom and Dick. 3. Dianeââ¬â¢s grounds sing Enid Dianeââ¬â¢s grounds refering Enidââ¬â¢s admittance as a contract liquidator is hearsay in footings of its possible admissibility against Tom ( and Dick ) ; it is capable to the bridal considerations of compellability ( Civil Partnerships, 2004, s.84 ( 1 ) and ( 5 ) ) The rumor facets of the vocalization from Enid to Diane must be considered in visible radiation of the commissariats of the Criminal Justice Act ( CJA, 2003, s.118 ( 1 ) ) 4. Multiple rumor The facts present two different facets to this issue ââ¬â the grounds of Fay and the grounds of George. It is submitted that Georgeââ¬â¢s grounds is merely a farther patterned advance from that of Fay ; if Fay is found to be an undependable informant, it is non imaginable that Georgeââ¬â¢s grounds founded as it is upon Fay as a nexus in the evidentiary concatenation George would supply could be admissible and Fayââ¬â¢s non. The consideration must be hence directed to Fay. In add-on to the unsworn nature of the grounds, Fay is capable to consideration under the multiple hearsay proviso of the CJA ( s.121 ) . Taken merely as unsworn grounds from a kid, it is submitted that Fayââ¬â¢s testimony would be admissible capable to the weight to be ascribed to it. However, the extra factor of multiple rumor is a serious trouble for the prosecution 2. Extra considerations ââ¬â Dick The extent of Dickââ¬â¢s possible liability is hard to determine on the facts as presented. The saloon castanetss of his chancing relationship with Tom are present to make the causal connexion between them. However, without the grounds of Diane admitted as to the nature of Enidââ¬â¢s position this grounds does non make liability. However, Dianeobservedthe exchange of money between Dick and Enid, an observation that is admissible against Dick Diane nevertheless can attest as against Tom or Dick as to her conversation with Enid sing her slaying activity. Dick is apt as a party to the slaying of Charlotte if these facts are elicited as expected ââ¬â the relationship with Tom, the transportation of money to a admitted slayer, and the decease of Charlotte under fortunes consistent with the admittance by Enid to Diane support this contention. 3. Extra considerations ââ¬â Enid The confessionââ¬â¢ provided to Diane by Enid is capable to the exclusionary regulations noted above ( Civil Partnerships, s. 84. Absent this grounds, the facts admissible against Enid are reduced to the followers: an observation that Dick was in her company and paid her money Two other slayings took topographic point at an earlier tie connected to Tom. This grounds does non fulfill the grade of cogent evidence necessary to implicate Enid by manner of similar fact in the present happenings The admittance to Diane sing her homicidal activity can non be introduced indirectly via Fayââ¬â¢s hearsay if the substantial confession is inadmissible by jurisprudence. It is suggested from a tactical position that this possible informant be provided with unsusceptibility from prosecution and that she be called to attest against Dick and Tom. Zara Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Zara - Essay Example tay committed to the principles surrounding supply chain management. The make-buy decision In a bid to understand the direct impact of supply chain management on the running and development of organizations, Zara has been chosen to be a focal point in this essay. This essay will critically analyze the supply chain system in place at Zara and how best it is working. It would also discuss the weaknesses of the organizationââ¬â¢s supply chain system and how it can be improved. Zara as a fashion retail organization has been chosen by the writer purposely because of the organization is fast developing attention among reviewers who have supply chain management as their focus. Such reviewers as Kasra Ferdows, Michael A. Lewis and Jose A.D. Machuca of Harvard Business Review place premium on the recent successes that Zara is recording with its retail of fashion products. The cause of the success has been linked to the companyââ¬â¢s supply chain system. In the view of Ferdows, Lewis and Jose (2005), ââ¬Å"Zara has hit on a formula for supply chain success that works.â⬠One critical area of retailing, of which Zara as a retail organization is inclusive is the concept of make-buy decision. Make-buy decision would be especially useful for discussion as far as Zara is concerned because Zara is into retail of fashion products, of which it has the choice either to manufacture its products or to purchase them. According to the Encyclopedia of Management (2010), make-or-buy decision is the act of making a strategic choice between producing an item internally (in-house) or buy it externally (from an outside supplier).â⬠Applying the principles of make-buy decision to Zara, it can be inferred that for the organization to make a decision whether to buy or make should be backed by carefully scrutinized strategic analysis. This is seen in the definition given by the encyclopedia, making mention of the word ââ¬Ëstrategicââ¬â¢. It should be observed that fashion is a global language, yet varying and versatile (Akuoko, 2009, p.19). This makes the demand of customers for a particular type or style of fashion change over time. Due to the unstable nature of world fashion, Zara must therefore have strategic analysis at management level that ensures that the core needs of varying consumers are met. Zara has consumers from all over Europe and from different cultures. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for the organization to be diversifying. This way, the make-buy decision should permit the organization to select the kinds of fashion line they can produce internally and those they would have to depend on from external sources. In deciding which to produce internally, the organization must factor in their areas of strength and specialization. Though it is common knowledge that ââ¬Å"Zara's designers create approximately 40,000 new designs annually, from which 10,000 are selected for productionâ⬠(Harvard Business Review, 2005), it c ould equally be true that the organization cannot be ââ¬Ëmaster of all tradeââ¬â¢. To this effect, the principle of buy-make decision permits the organization to produce only on its specialization and buy the rest. Sourcing Strategies and supply chain configurations The decision on what to buy or make may be a complicated one but once that

Soda Tax Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Soda Tax - Essay Example In fact, a ten- year research carried on individuals with a regular intake of diet soda revealed a 70% (Picca 35) increase on their waistline in comparison to individuals with a zero tolerance to soda intake. I that believe soda tax serves an effective measure of saving the ignorant American population, who turn a blind eye to dire health complications for continuous soda intake. A tax charge on soft beverages will have a profound reduction of illnesses such as diabetes associated with unhealthy lifestyle. Aside from obesity, public health officials also highlight additional health benefits of a potential soda tax such as improved dental hygiene. In the last 50 years, soft drink consumption has increased by whooping 500% (Brill 46). Interestingly soft drinks like soda consist of massive calories but with zero nutritional value. Even with such scary statistics soft drinks consumption make up 7% percent of energy consumption in adults and with a larger percentage reported in children and adolescents (Brill 47). A tax charge on soda would result into a consumption reduction. Public health officials note that a consumer reduction in soda intake would reduce obesity cases nationwide, hence significant step towards the fight against diseases such as diabetes. The rising cost of soda, would reduce consumer intake, and consequently reduce weight gain of approximately 90 % of the American population (Picca 36). A research carried out by the National Health and Nutrition Examination survey in 2010 revealed that indeed states with higher taxes on soda recorded the lowest consumer consumption on soft drinks (Picca 37). Individuals in such states turned to healthy drinks such as milk and natural juice for calories consumption. Following the success of taxation on tobacco and tobacco products, that led to a signification reduction of health complication associated with regular nicotine intake (Picca 37). Taxation on soda would have the same implications on health
